DRAFT DATES
Provided that we are not delayed by rain the draft dates are as follows
Majors draft - Jan. 24th 6:30 pm (Board Room)
AAA Div. draft - Jan. 25th 6:30 pm (Board Room)
AA Div. draft - Jan. 26th 6:30 pm (Board Room)
A Div. & Rookie draft - Jan. 27th 6:30 pm (Board Room)
T-Ball selection - Jan. 28th (Board Room)
Players should be notified within 3 days of the draft.

2010 DRAFT POLICY

Please remember that this baseball program is not about the managers and coaches, it is about our players. (This means all players) It is the responsibility of all Managers, Coaches, and Board Members to make sure that our league conducts a fair and equitable draft. We will ensure that every manager and coach has full access to any and all players at their division level. Any manager or coach caught trying to manipulate the draft process in any way may be removed from that position and not be allowed to manage or coach a team in the future (per a review of the Board of Directors). We will make sure that this process is fair for all of the players in our league.

DRAFT PROCESS

PLAYER SELECTION - Our draft will be performed as follows - Only the Manager and 1st Coaches children will be protected in the draft. All other players must be available in the open draft.

DRAFT POSITIONS - Draft positions will be a blind draw out of a hat (example numbers 1 - 6).

DRAFT SELECTION - The #1 position will get the first pick in the overall draft and the draft will progress #1 - #6. The Draft will continue in a serpentine manner and the #6 will get the # 6 and the # 7 picks (see example below).

TEAM NAME SELECTION - The number #6 will get the first choice of team names and team name selection will progress #6 - #1. The six choices for team names in each division will be pre-selected prior to the draft.

In the event that a manager or 1^st coach does not have a child playing in the league, the following will occur. If the manager of a team does not have a child playing in the league, that team will receive a double 2^nd round pick in their allotted position. If the 1^st coach of a team does not have a child playing in the league, that team will receive a double 3^rd round pick in their allotted position.
